Alumni

Each year the SF State Department of Political Science graduates about 130 undergraduates and 3-6 M.A. students. Our alumni go on to have spectacular and rewarding careers. They run for office and serve in government. They work as teachers and faculty. They are employed in private companies; they work for non-governmental organizations and community groups, and some go to graduate and law school. Our department equips students with the skills to thrive no matter what they do next.

Our alumni are the greatest testament to what we do. Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college. Many are immigrants or the children of immigrants. Most work at least part-time, and some have children and family members they care for. They work hard to obtain their degree in political science. We’re proud of each and every one.

Profiled below are some of the inspiring professionals to graduate from SF State’s Department of Political Science.
