Liliam Perez
Liliam is the Strategy and Advocacy Coordinator at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, a nonprofit that serves San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. Her responsibilities include managing the Summer Meals Service Program. She studied political science in Colombia before moving to the U.S. As an SF State student, Liliam worked full-time as an Outreach Coordinator at the County of San Mateo, working closely with the Latino community and graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is also part of the 2022 Cohort of the Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) program.
Advice for current and future PLSI students:
Trust your journey and embrace your process! Sometimes is hard to adapt or accept the challenges that we face every day. Don’t be scared if you need to take a break or find another way to get to your goals. Keep in mind that through each change, you are making progress.
