Dr. Ali Kashani is a lecture faculty in political philosophy and theory. He holds a Ph. D. In philosophy. He teaches courses in continental philosophy, social and political philosophy, political theory, ethics, critical theory, post-structuralism, anarchism, and feminist philosophy.

He is the author of Radical Generosity: Resisting Xenophobia, Considering Cosmopolitanism, (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019),‘Machine Rationality and the Logic of Social Control and Domination’ in a volume entitled Meditations on Resistance: An Inquiry into AI, Critical Media Literacy, and Social Justice, (Peter Lang Publishing, 2024).  ‘Media and Ethics: The Public Sphere, Truth-Telling, and Practice of Freedom’ in a volume entitled Lost in Media: Ethics of Everyday Life, (Peter Lang Publishing, 2013). He is also working on three book projects entitled, Machine Rationality and the Logic of Social Control and Domination,  Critical Resistance: In the Time of Crisis, and Social Control: Power, Truth, Specters of Democracy.
